Product Knowledge

A female tee PP compression fitting is typically designed for quick and tool-free installation using the compression jointing method. Compression fittings are commonly used in plumbing and piping systems to create leak-free connections without the need for specialized tools or soldering. Here's how the compression jointing method works for a female tee PP compression fitting:
Prepare the Pipes: Ensure that the ends of the pipes you are connecting are clean, smooth, and free from any debris or burrs. If necessary, cut the pipes to the required length.
Inspect the Fitting: Check the female tee PP compression fitting for any visible defects or damage. Verify that any included seals or gaskets are in good condition.
Insert Seals or Gaskets: If the fitting includes seals or gaskets, make sure they are properly positioned within the fitting's sealing areas.
Disassemble the Fitting: For most compression fittings, you will need to disassemble the fitting into its individual components: the main body, compression ring, and nut.
Assemble the Fitting: Insert the pipes into the respective openings of the fitting, ensuring that they are fully seated. Slide the compression ring onto each pipe, making sure it's positioned close to the fitting body.
Tighten the Nut: Place the nut over the compression ring on each pipe. Hand-tighten the nut onto the fitting body by turning it clockwise. As you tighten the nut, the compression ring will compress around the pipe and create a watertight seal.
Use Wrenches: Use two wrenches to further tighten the nuts. Hold the fitting body steady with one wrench while using the other wrench to turn the nut clockwise. Avoid over-tightening, as it can damage the fitting or pipes.
Check for Leaks: Once the nuts are securely tightened, turn on the water supply and inspect the joint for any leaks. If you notice any leaks, tighten the nuts slightly more until the leak stops.
The compression jointing method is user-friendly and does not require specialized skills or equipment. It's important to ensure that you have a high-quality female tee PP compression fitting, as well as any required seals or gaskets, to create a reliable and secure connection.
