Butt Fusion HDPE Fittings Suppliers

Butt Fusion is a method of joining plastic pipe, fittings, or other similar forms of a thermoplastic resin wherein the two ends to be joined are heated to the molten state and then rapidly pressed together to form a homogeneous bond.” With HDPE fittings you would use a butt fusion machine, heat both ends of the fittings or pipe and press them together to form a strong bond/fusion and eliminating all potential leaks and joints.

 

The main features that HDPE butt fusion fittings are:

※ Reliable jointing

PE pipes and pe pipe fittings are connected by butt fusion method, the strength of fittings is higher than the pipe itself; the polyethylene pipe and other material pipes are connected by flanges, which is convenient and quick. The jointing shall be 100% leak-free when it is properly made, the jointing is as strong as the pipe itself and has the same life expectancy.

Compared with electrofusion fitting, butt fusion fitting is more cost-effective base on the lower price which will saving cost for the pipe system Significantly.

※SDR9 SDR11 & SDR17 for choice

ISO standard with MM size (50-800mm) offer SDR11 and SDR17 fitting. Under this standard we have short type and long type HDPE fittings to help clients overcome the competitors with more advantage .

ANSI/ASTM Standard with inch size (3”-24”) offer SDR9 , SDR11 and SDR17 fitting.

PACKAGE

Our regular exporting packing methods is cartons for dia. Dn63-200mm. The HDPE butt fusion fittings larger to 250mm shall be wrapped by PP bags for each pieces.

Customer’s logo can be stamped or embossed on the HDPE butt fusion fittings.

Butt Fusion is particularly common in water supply, gas distribution, irrigation, and industrial applications.
Here's how the Butt Fusion process works with HDPE fittings:
Preparation: First, the ends of the HDPE pipes or fittings to be joined are cut cleanly and squared off to ensure they have smooth, flat surfaces. Proper preparation is essential for achieving a strong and reliable fusion.
Heating: The prepared ends of the HDPE pipes or fittings are then placed in a Butt Fusion welding machine, which contains a heating plate or heating element. The heating plate heats the surfaces of the HDPE pieces uniformly to a specific temperature suitable for the fusion process.
Heating and Cooling Time: The time required for heating and cooling depends on the pipe/fittings' thickness and size. Typically, the heating process takes a few minutes, during which the HDPE ends reach the fusion temperature.
